Madagascar 3- Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent - Madagascar style. I didn't really like this movie although it was funny. It would be a great movie kids between the ages of 5-9 or 10. Older kids will not enjoy this movie, but hey might laugh at some of the events in the movie.
Journey 2- The new journey begins when young adventurer Sean receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist-a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean'snew stepfather joins the quest. Together with a helicopter pilot and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter, they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever. This movie is amazing. I really liked it. It was suspenseful and fiction. The graphics, scene, story line, and characters made you feel like the movie was real.
Hunger Games- Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers in her younger sister's place to enter the games, and is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy when she's pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. I thought this movie was absolutely fantastic. It had a good story line, scene, and the actors were amazing. It was suspenseful and had a little violence but a lot of blood in the beginning of the games.
Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked- After being blown away on a kite because of foolishness, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore must survive on a deserted island with another stranded human. This movie was funny and suspenseful. There's not really much more I can say about this movie.
